APRA is for the music. Their role is to help Australian and New Zealand music creators get paid for their work and give music users easy ways to legally play and copy music. Royalties keep the music coming and ensure the industry’s future. APRA AMCOS has two distinct primary audiences, artists responsible for the creation of music, and businesses or corporates that consume music and pay their way. Atlas was engaged to re-develop their network of websites, one of Australia’s largest eCommerce and digital projects.
Working from a new brand strategy, we streamlined a cumbersome legacy of information and processes and developed a UX strategy based on personas to create a new digital experience that speaks everyone’s language, and makes it easier and more desirable to engage with APRA – from royalty transactions to registration and upload of music content, to engaging the music community via a range of annual events and awards.
The APRA digital portal is a multi-site network that requires in-house administration of multiple campaign and event sites, along with localised sites for international markets. Utilising a range of enterprise technologies the Atlas team was able to ensure full circle customer journey across all devices and platforms.
As a Government organisation across multiple markets with a complex stakeholder structure, and the requirement for integration with complex legacy systems, multiple services and 3rd party solutions, the project management and development teams needed to work hand in hand with APRA to ensure smooth delivery of this massive project across front-end and a sophisticated, tailored back-end solution.
